Jacqueline van der Plaat is a contemporary Dutch artist and lives close to Amsterdam.
She has created a collection of work that rejoices in brilliant colours and bold, powerful forms. There is a playful quality to her art through experimentation with media and this adds a particular immediacy to the imagery.

In the Lifelines exhibition she presents female nudes, which are painted with impasto brushstrokes and rhythmic patterns.

Yoga has given her paintings a new spiritual atmosphere and a more uninhibited and vivacious approach.

Her former studies of textiles in art school can be observed in her creation of patterns and texture and the intriguing combination of strong colours and lines.

Following exhibitions in both Amsterdam and New York, Jacqueline’s work is in private collections in the UK, the Netherlands and in Poland.
